Happy Sunday, everyone! How are you all doing? I have a couple of blog posts that I want to share with you all, if ever I get around to writing them that is. I still have paperwork due tomorrow for my Psychiatry rotation and I am only halfway done. Oh, here goes procrastination mode again. But anyway, I wanted to share with you my dining experience at Cavite Republic Restaurant! This is located in Trece Martires, Cavite. How, you may ask, did I ever get around to visiting this restaurant? Well, we're currently having our outside rotation in Psychiatry at Cavite Center for Mental Health (CCMH) which is not far away from Cavite Republic Restaurant. For our last day at CCMH, my groupmates and I decided to dine here since the outdoor facade kept catching our eye whenever our van would pass this establishment.
Do you see what I mean? :) It's not everyday you pass by a place like this, unless you live near Intramuros or something! Intramuros or The Walled City is one of my favorite places in Manila. I enjoyed our field trip in Fort Santiago back in college because of the old buildings and the beautiful architecture on display in every corner. Cavite Republic Restaurant reminds me of such places. <3
Nikki and I ordered Beef Kaldereta (approx. Php250) and Bicol Express (approx. Php 250), while Kim ordered one of the chicken specials because he has this aversion to anything spicy. My rating? Five out of five stars! :) The beef kaldereta is delicious and so is the bicol express! It was my first time to try laing and I'm glad that Cavite Republic's version of Bicol Express w/ Laing didn't fail. The price range is reasonable (although we went broke after this meal) and the food and service are excellent.
